The theme was “Pink Is The New Black” and the participants, volunteers and sponsors were truly an example of this as they enjoyed a day of comraderie and celebration of strength, courage and hope. The host committee would like to thank all the volunteers, sponsors, scorekeepers and golfers for their continued support. A special thanks goes to the Niakwa Country Club and their staff for hosting another successful tournament, Winnipeg Fire & Paramedics Volunteers, and our guest speaker, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, The Honourable Janice C. Filmon, C.M., O.M. bringing greetings. Through the generous support of all of our sponsors, the tournament has raised over $773,000 for CancerCare Manitoba’s Breast Cancer Centre Of Hope since its inception. The Breast Cancer Centre Of Hope supports and assists women at risk of breast cancer, newly diagnosed patients,as well as their families, with information and resources they require on their journey.
