We lost one of our committee members Susan Popiel after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She brought energy and passion to the committee while battling her personal challenges. Her contribution to the banquet events inspired everyone. Her family meant everything to her and her love for her girls gave her courage to face each day. It was a pleasure to work with Sue and we miss her dearly.

This year will mark the 29th year that I have been honored to participate as a scorekeeper in the Pink Ribbon Tournament! I have found that volunteering for such a great cause has been so rewarding in so many different ways. Over these 29years I have listened to so many heartfelt testimonies of women who have fought the cancer battle and have won it!!!!……..and are now cancer survivors!! While much research work has been done over the years, there is still much more to do in the future. That is why that I look forward to being able to keep volunteering for this great cause as long as the good Lord gives me the health and strength to do so!! God bless each one as they continue on their journey and never give up faith and hope for success!!

Being involved with the Pink Ribbon Ladies Golf Classic over many years, I have met the most incredible women! I look forward to tournament day every year – it is the MOST fun and I love seeing a lot of the same faces. It is also a day when I remember the women we have lost over the years and motivates me to continue to work on this tournament and continue raising money to support those facing a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
